At the end of this month, two international friendlies between the Super Falcons, the nine-time African champions, and Algeria are set to take place in Lagos.
23 players have been invited by head coach Justine Madugu, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.
The Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Lagos Island will host the games on Saturday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 29, respectively.
The Falcons are taking part in international friendlies on home soil for the first time in a while.
Some important players on the list, include Oluwatosin Demehin of Galatasaray and Gift Monday of Costa Tenerife.
But absent are Al-Ittihad defender Ashleigh Plumptre, who just returned from surgery, and Bay FC forward Asisat Oshoala.
A few Falconets who participated in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia last month are on the list in addition to local professionals.
The Super Falcons will be playing their first game following the departure of American trainer Randy Waldrum and the summer Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in France.
