Ademola Lookman has shared a heartwarming moment after being named CAF Player of the Year, as he revealed his best friends within the Super Eagles squad.
Following his standout performances in 2024, which played a pivotal role in his club and country’s successes, Lookman was crowned as the best player in Africa in a ceremony in Morocco on Monday.

Speaking to ESPN Africa after the event, Lookman was asked to name his best friends in the Eagles squad. He said “I got a few probably. The ‘innit’ boys innit? But I’ll say Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey.”
The Atalanta man has shown no signs of stopping this season, scoring eight goals and making four assists in just 13 appearances this season.
