The Super Eagles had a rout today against Sao Tome and Principe which was played in Morocco in an AFCON qualifier which ended 10-0 in favor of Nigeria.

Nigeria proved they were head and shoulders above their opponent with the gap in quality by completely dominating the game and the scoreline was a testament to how good the Eagles were.

Osimhen showed class by scoring 4 goals and his first goal came as early as the 9th minute, Moffi scored a brace while Etebo curled in a superb freekick to also get on the scoresheet. Moses Simon, Lookman scored his first goal for Nigeria and Emmanuel Dennis completed the rout after winning a penalty and he stepped up to convert to complete the rout.

Sao Tome and Principe were totally outplayed and had little or no chance on goal to trouble Uzoho the goalkeeper with Nigeria keeping most possession of the game.

This is Nigeria’s second game in the qualifiers and they now have 6 points from the 2 games to go top of the table with Guinea-Bissau yet to play their second game against Sierra Leone. The Eagles next game will be against Guinea-Bissau sometime around September.
