Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey played an important role as Fulham defeated Chelsea on Boxing Day at Stamford Bridge.

The Super Eagles duo made the starting XI for the Cottagers as they recorded a famous win at the Stamford Bridge – their first-ever in the Premier League.

Iwobi was largely involved in play despite Cole Palmer’s 16th minute opener. The Super Eagles midfielder was on until the 90th minute before he was replaced by Ryan Sessegnon.

Calvin Bassey played the entirety of the game as he helped Fulham in thwarting Chelsea’s onslaught on Fulham’s defense after the visitors took the lead.

The defender almost draw Fulham level in the first half with a snap shot in Chelsea’s box but Sanchez fell to the ground quickly to make a comfortable save.
