Manchester United have agreed a €20 million (£18.1m) deal to sign Alex Telles from Porto, according to reports.
United have been in talks with Porto for several weeks but had been unable to reach an agreement as the Portuguese club were demanding €25m (£22.6m).
But according to Record and Sky Sports Germany, both clubs have reached a compromise and the Brazilian left-back is now heading to Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old is due to undergo a medical with United on Sunday evening.
According to Record, Pini Zahavi has played a key role in brokering the deal after United had initially refused to increase their opening offer of €17m (£15.4m).
Alex Telles, who has 26 goals and 57 assists in 195 appearances for Porto, will provide competition for Luke Shaw on United’s left flank.
United, meanwhile, are also on the verge of signing Edinson Cavani on a free transfer.
The 33-year-old, who left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season, is understood to have agreed a two-year contract worth £200,000-a-week with United.
The Uruguayan striker is also due to have a medical with United on Sunday evening.
