Manchester United have confirmed that new signing Amad Diallo will wear the No.19 squad number.
The Premier League giants completed a £36million deal for the teenager during a frantic summer deadline day, but the highly-rated winger has spent the first half of the current season at Atalanta.
Having acquired the necessary paperwork, Diallo has now completed the formalities of his move and has been officially confirmed as a United player ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup third round tie against Watford at Old Trafford.
Diallo will inherit the No.19 shirt, previously warn by Marcus Rashford, but he is likely to be gradually eased into the first team picture given his relative lack of experience at senior level.
Speaking about his move, Diallo said: ‘After waiting since the summer, it is finally a dream come true to complete my move to Manchester United.
‘I am hugely ambitious and there is so much that I want to achieve in the game; when I spoke to the manager I knew that I had joined the perfect club.
‘This is a really exciting squad with so many great players, I can promise that I will work hard every day to learn from them and give everything to develop my game.
‘I have had time to prepare for this move, both physically and mentally, and I have worked really hard to be ready to make the step up to this amazing club.’
