British boxer of Nigerian descent Anthony Joshua returns to the ring against Daniel Dubois on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
When Joshua squares off with fellow British boxer Daniel Dubois this weekend, the Nigerian-born star has promised to unleash a devastating show.
Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois at Wembley
On a stacked boxing program at Wembley Stadium, the 34-year-old is aiming to become a three-time world heavyweight champion. Dubois’ IBF world title is at stake.
The two British competitors, who used to be sparring partners, will square off at the English football stadium in an attempt to go down in history.
Joshua hasn’t held a world title since losing to Oleksandr Usyk, the current heavyweight champion.
Joshua was the champion twice and the decline started after an unexpected loss to Andy Ruiz Jr.
After defeating Filip Hrgovic in the eighth round of a TKO back in June of this year, Dubois is the current IBF world heavyweight champion.
Although he does not currently possess the championship, many consider Joshua to be the favorite in the fight and he is predicting his finest performance to yet.
If Joshua overthrows Dubois on Saturday night, he will answer phones for Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
After this weekend’s fight, Joshua has no intention of slowing down; instead, he is dead set on making his way back up the heavyweight rankings.
