Arsenal breeze past Inter to extend winning run, Real Madrid demolish Monaco as PSG fall to late strike in Lisbon

Arsenal maintained their winning run in the UEFA Champions League as the Gunners secured their first win away from home against an Italian side in six previous attempts.

Gabriel Jesus bagged a brace on the night, and Viktor Gyokores, off the bench, scored his ninth goal of the season as the Gunners picked up a 3-1 win at the Guissepe Meaza on Tuesday night.

Arsenal took the lead early on in the tie as Jurrien Timber’s attempt inside the box on goal came off Gabriel Jesus.

Inter Milan restored parity eight minutes later as he picks up the ball from a rebound and from the edge of the box he unleashes a shot into the top right corner.

Both sides had half-chances afterwards, with Eberechi Eze and Marcus Thuram failing to hit the target.

However, Gabriel Jesus did otherwise as he gave the Gunners the lead again. The former Manchester City striker scored from a rebound with a header from inside the box.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid blew Monaco away at the Santiago Bernabeu with a commanding performance.

Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham got on the scoresheet as Alvaro Arbeloa secured his biggest win yet as Real Madrid’s manager.

The one-sided tie ended 6-1 as Real Madrid moved up to second on the table with 15 points from seven matches.

Tottenham Hotspur edged Borussia Dortmund 2-0 as under pressure Thomas Frank breathed a sigh of relief momentarily, while Ajax Amsterdam secured a late win over Villarreal.

Defending champions PSG also suffered from a late goal as Sporting Lisbon grabbed a 2-1 win in Lisbon over Luis Enrique’s men.
