Dijon goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson will undergo a medical with Arsenal on Thursday, according to reports.
The Gunners have agreed a £1.5 million deal with the French club and are now on the verge of completing the transfer.
Runarsson has been quickly indentified by Arsenal as the replacement for Emiliano Martinez, who completed his £20m move to Aston Villa on Wednesday.
The report also claims that Arsenal are still open to signing Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, even though Runarsson is on the verge of joining the club.
The Gunners are looking to sign Raya this summer but allow him to remain at Brentford on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Icelandic goalkeeper has already worked with Arsenal’s current goalkeeper coach, Inaki Cana, at Danish side Nordsjaelland.
Runarsson has won five caps with Iceland’s national team and was in their squad at the World Cup in 2014.
