Barcelona Pulls Off Comeback Victory Over Sevilla

On Wednesday night at the Camp Nou, Barcelona pulled off a comeback victory over Sevilla to proceed to the Copa Del Rey final.

The Catalonia club began the match on the front foot with a goal Ousmane Dembele in the first ten minutes of the game to overturn a 2-0 deficit from Seville.

Barca played impressive football for long spells during the game, but failed to capitalize by scoring the needed second game.

The momentum of the game changed when substitute, Antoine Griezmann conceded a penalty in the second half, only for Lucas Ocampos to be saved comfortably by Barca’s keeper, Marc Andre Terstegen.

Sevilla defender, Fernando picked up a second booking of the night and was sent off in the 92nd minute.

Barcelona pilled on the pressure and were rewarded for the efforts in the last minute of the game when defender, Gérard Pique bundled home the equalizer courtesy of Griezmann’s cross.

Danish striker, Martin Braithwaite put the Catalans ahead for the first time in the tie with a good finish in the 5th minute of extra time to complete the comeback.

Sevilla striker, Luuk De Jong was later sent off in the 103rd minute off the game as Sevilla looked for the equaliser.

With this result, Barcelona will play either Levante or Athletic Bilbao in the Copa Del Rey final.
