Bayelsa State Government has threatened to disband Bayelsa United if they relegate from the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.
This development comes after a poor run of form in the league. The Yenagoa-based club have won just 2 of their last 10 games in the league so far.
Bayelsa United held Enyimba to a one-all draw at home in their last league fixture but lost 2-1 at Lobi Stars previously.
Ladan Bosso is the coach of the former league champions and they are currently 18th on the NPFL log after 10 matches.
The state government have now reportedly given Ladan Bosso and his technical crew a two match ultimatum to turn the fortunes of the club around.
Rivers United woll host Bayelsa United this weekend as they look to get back to get their first away win of the season.
