Benzema visits Madrid squad in Jeddah ahead of Super Cup

Karim Benzema, the former Real Madrid striker now playing for Al-Ittihad, paid a visit to his old team at their hotel in Jeddah.

The reunion took place ahead of Real Madrid’s Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Mallorca at the King Abdullah Stadium.During his visit, Benzema reconnected with former teammates and coach Carlo Ancelotti.

The French forward, who spent 14 seasons with Real Madrid and became the club’s second all-time leading scorer, was seen engaging warmly with players such as Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo.

Since joining Al-Ittihad in July 2023, Benzema has continued to showcase his exceptional talent. In the current Saudi Pro League season, he has scored 10 goals, contributing significantly to Al-Ittihad’s position at the top of the standings with 36 points after 13 rounds.

Real Madrid’s official channels shared images of the reunion, highlighting the enduring bond between Benzema and the club where he achieved remarkable success, including five Champions League titles and four LaLiga titles.

The visit not only underscores Benzema’s lasting connection with Real Madrid but also serves as an inspiration for the team as they prepare for the crucial semi-final match against Mallorca.
