Jadon Sancho of England warms up ahead of the UEFA Nations League group stage match between England and Belgium at Wembley Stadium on October 11, 2020 in London, England. Football Stadiums around Europe remain empty due to the Coronavirus Pandemic as Government social distancing laws prohibit fans inside venues resulting in fixtures being played behind closed doors.

Borussia Dortmund are unwilling to entertain offers for Jadon Sancho in the January transfer window and Manchester United will have to wait until next summer to sign the England winger, reports in Germany claim.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made the forward his No. 1 target and was said to be frustrated and disappointed that United chiefs failed to land him this summer.

Several approaches from the Red Devils were rejected, with United failing to meet Dortmund’s £108million asking price.

Dortmund played hardball in negotiation this summer and will do so again in January.

According to Bild, they will not even listen to offers for the 20-year-old in January.

They will, however, be willing to do business next summer.

Unfortunately for United, there is the danger that there will be a more competitive bidding field in 2021.

Other clubs, such as Liverpool, who weren’t in a position to sign him this summer due to the financial impact of the coronavirus crisis, are set to join the race along with other European heavyweights.

While Solskjaer is desperate to land the attacker, former team-mate Paul Scholes is not convinced by the pursuit.

‘To spend £100m or whatever, I didn’t think it was right. I wasn’t that disappointed.

‘Look, he’s a brilliant player and he’ll probably improve any team but I just didn’t think there was the need for him this year.’
