Enyimba have appointed Stanley Eguma as the new first team coach of the club following the sack of Yemi Olanrewaju

Enyimba football club have appointed Stanley Eguma as its new coach following the departure of Yemi Olanrewaju.

The Aba Elephants parted ways with coach Olanrewaju after a nine-game winless run on Saturday.

Coach Yemi Olanrewaju departure was confirmed in a statement via the official X page of the club.

Enyimba have now appointed former Rivers United coach Stanley Eguma as the new head coach of the club.

Stanley Eguma is a seasoned coach with wealth of experience in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Eguma served as coach of Rivers United for 16 years before he was relived of his duties in May after a poor run of form.

The seasoned coach led Rivers United to its first League title in the 2021/2022 football season after the merger of Dolphins and Sharks.

Stanley Eguma will look to turn the fortunes of the Aba Elephants around as he takes over as the 17th coach of the club.
