Telles was an unused substitute in United’s 4-1 win over Newcastle and none of their deadline day signings have featured since arriving at Old Trafford.
Cavani, who has hardly trained with his new team-mates since completing a transfer from Paris Saint-Germain after being forced to self-isolate for 14 days, did not travel to the French capital for a clash with his former club but Telles could be handed his first minutes in a United shirt on Tuesday night.
Fernandes – who has four goals to his name already this campaign – will undoubtedly be on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s teamsheet for the Champions League tie with last season’s runners-up and ahead of the tie he ran the rule over his new team-mates.
The Portugal international – who was seen berating Telles in training – revealed he was impressed with their contributions at this early stage and believes they will bring a lot of quality to the squad.
‘I think it was the second training session for [Edinson] Cavani and the others have been training with us a little bit more,’ said Fernandes.
‘I think they have started really well. Now it’s about taking the confidence to come in and to play games and to understand what the team needs and what the coach wants from them.
‘But in terms of qualities of course they have good quality for us, they are good players and they will help us a lot.
‘I think we also can help them to settle in as fast as they can.’
PSG will be missing Marco Verratti, Leandro Paredes, Mauro Icardi, Thilo Kehrer and Juan Bernat for the match at the Parc des Princes but could welcome back Marquinhos and Julian Draxler.
