25-year-old midfielder Dahoud will enter the final year of his contract at the Westfalenstadion this summer with a number of Premier League sides interested in his services.
The Syria-born Germany international joined Dortmund from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2017, a deal agreed while Tuchel was still in charge of the former.
But by the time he arrived at the club, Tuchel had moved onto new pastures.
Liverpool was strongly linked with a move for Dahoud prior to his move to Dortmund along with Chelsea and City with the Daily Mail now reporting interest remains from Stamford Bridge and The Etihad.
Tottenham and Everton are also said to be interested in the player.
Dahoud has emerged as a key player under interim coach Edin Terzic in recent weeks, scoring twice during a run of five wins and a draw in their last seven games with the club booking their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Chelsea are expected to try and strengthen in midfield during the summer transfer window with a new striker also thought to be high up Tuchel’s wishlist.
Tuchel has refused to be drawn on transfer plans however with his immediate focus on the current campaign.
“It is not time to reflect for the summer and other solutions, other than what we have,’ he told a press conference last week. ‘We have guys that we are happy with and are looking for more solutions; we will try to help them.’
