However, he will play no part at Elland Road this Saturday lunchtime after being ruled out by Tuchel.
‘Thiago setback in training at the end of the session the day before yesterday he felt at the end something around the same area he was injured,’ Tuchel told reporters ahead of the match.
‘So we had to take him back to a transition phase but not back in team training so he will be out.’
Tuchel will also be without striker Tammy Abraham, who is suffering with an ankle problem.
‘The same for Tammy, he has still the ankle pain from this tackle against Burnley he’s still not 100% comfortable,’ added Tuchel.
‘These two are out for tomorrow and everyone else is available.’
Chelsea beat Leeds 3-1 in the reverse fixture and will look to strengthen their grip on a top-four spot with another three points against Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
