AC Milan moved closer to Champions League places with a 2-0 win over Empoli, who remain just a point clear of the drop zone.
The visitors had the better chances early on, with Yunus Musah forcing a strong save from Devis Vásquez. Empoli responded well, with Lorenzo Colombo’s effort coming off the post.
The game took a dramatic turn when Fikayo Tomori was sent off for Milan, but Empoli’s numerical advantage was short-lived as Luca Marianucci received a red card for a petulant kick.
Milan capitalized on the dismissal, with Rafael Leão powering a header home at the back post. Santiago Giménez sealed the win with a left-footed effort past Vásquez.
Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze was an unused substitute.
The victory extends Milan’s unbeaten run in Serie A to three matches, moving them within five points of the top-four.
