It was another productive week for the English teams in Europe but domestic matters take centre stage again.
As ever, Betfair ambassador Dimitar Berbatov previews the action for Metro.co.uk…
Leeds vs Chelsea
Oh my God, what is going on at Chelsea. They are unbeaten in 11 games and are looking solid. With their recent form I have to say they will take all three points here, but I’ve said many times that I like the way Leeds play, they go out there and don’t care who they are up against. Tuchel has brought in that disciplined style and everyone knows what they need to do and the coach has them on their toes. Prediction: 0-2.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Leeds 4/1, Draw 3/1, Chelsea 4/5
Crystal Palace vs West Brom
Crystal Palace are going into this game on the back of a heavy defeat to Spurs, they managed to get themselves level in that one but Mourinho’s side kicked it up a gear and got the win. Palace have to have lots of focus in this one because Big Sam’s team will be fighting for everything. I think Crystal Palace will get the better of them here. Prediction: 2-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Crystal Palace 5/4, Draw 9/4, West Brom 11/4
Everton vs Burnley
Everton lost against Chelsea, but they are still playing good football and enjoying a good season. Burnley have struggled to get wins recently and I think this will be another tough task for them. Prediction: 3-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Everton 20/21, Draw 13/5, Burnley 4/1
Fulham vs Man City
If Fulham win that, imagine they beat Liverpool and then Man City and then stay up – Scott Parker would be manager of the season. I will go out on a limb and support Fulham and think this game will be a draw and help United get closer to the title. Prediction: 2-2.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Fulham 10/1, Draw 9/2, Man City 4/11
Southampton vs Brighton
I sympathise with Southampton as they have a good manager and had some bad results. They can play some good football, like we saw against Man City, they had a great spell in that game and they just need to focus and keep up those levels throughout a match. I’ll go with them to get back to winning ways in this one, which is bad news for Brighton, because they are in trouble. Prediction: 2-0.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Southampton 2/1, Draw 9/4, Brighton 7/4
Leicester vs Sheffield United
Leicester beat Brighton late on last time and showed real spirit. Recently we have seen Sheffield United play without much pressure on them because I think they know their fate. But Leicester still need to push to confirm a spot in the top four, so I will go with them again. Prediction: 3-0.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Leicester 4/7, Draw 100/30, Sheff United 13/2
Arsenal vs Spurs
Son, Kane and Bale will cause problems for Arsenal as they just concede goals. I will go with Spurs. I played with Bale early on in his career and when you play with other great players, you know how to understand each other, so it’s no surprise for me to see how well that front three is doing. Prediction: 1-3.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Arsenal 7/4, Draw 5/2, Spurs 15/8
Manchester United vs West Ham
West Ham are flying, but Man United need to maintain the momentum from the Man City game. They will be disappointed with conceding against Milan so late on in the Europa League, which just shows that you have to be concentrated and focused for the full match, they will have to do the same against West Ham. I think it will be Man United who will get the three points here. Prediction: 3-2.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Man United 20/21, Draw 11/4, West Ham 7/2
Wolves vs Liverpool
It’s a tough situation for Liverpool, they got a good result in the Champions League but the Premier League is a different story. Away from home they seem to be doing well, so I will go with them to put the nightmare home from behind them, they have the players to do it. Prediction: 1-3.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Wolves 4/1, Draw 14/5, Liverpool 4/5
