Before then, Manchester United face a tricky trip to Brighton hoping to avoid back-to-back defeats, while Chelsea travel to the Hawthorns to take on a West Brom side who look destined to struggle this season.
As ever, Betfair Ambassador Dimitar Berbatov previews the action for Metro.co.uk…
Brighton vs Man Utd
Oh my god…imagine United lose to Brighton! That would be not only a shock, but a huge disappointment. I think people would begin to speak about Ole, the position of the manager in general, so I hope to see them correct the mistake they made against Palace. They have no other option and need to win this game. Losing against Liverpool and City in your first two games is ok, but Palace and Brighton is a disaster if you lose both. United can get three points back here. Prediction: 1-3.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Brighton- 4/1, Man United- 4/5, Draw- 11/4
Crystal Palace vs Everton
I think from time to time, teams like Palace follow a great result with a poor result, whereas Everton are really flying high. I think Everton will keep up their good form here in a game they can and should win. Prediction: 0-2
Betfair Exchange Odds: Palace- 3/1, Everton- 11/10, Draw- 5/2
West Brom vs Chelsea
Chelsea need to get back to winning ways, and West Brom are finding life tough back in the Premier League. Chelsea should have enough to win this convincingly if they get back to their best. Prediction: 0-3.
Betfair Exchange Odds: West Brom- 9/1, Chelsea- 2/5, Draw- 9/2
Burnley vs Southampton
Burnley will be disappointed with their result against Leicester, they did score two in the process though, Southampton have also been less than impressive, and of course were humiliated by Spurs at the weekend. Sometimes, this can be a hangover for your next game, and affect the team. They gave Spurs far too much space. I think Burnley might be able to take advantage. Prediction: 2-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Burnley- 9/4, Southampton- 11/8, Draw- 5/2
Sheffield United vs Leeds United
Sheffield don’t look the same team as last year, ‘second season syndrome’ again! They were unlucky against Villa and played OK with ten men. I like Leeds, and they have been strong. They are playing nice football in a tough league, and scoring goals. Bielsa is a genius, and I think they can add to Sheffield’s tough start. Prediction: 1-2.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Sheffield- 7/4, Leeds- 7/4, Draw- 5/2
Tottenham vs Newcastle
I hope Spurs can continue their form from the weekend, although Bale still isn’t fit. Reguillon could make his debut, which would be interesting. I can see them winning and scoring lots of goals here while they do it. Son and Harry Kane are on fire. Prediction: 4-0.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Spurs- 1/2, Newcastle- 7/1, Draw- 4/1
Manchester City vs Leicester City
I watched City win 3-1 in their last game, and of course they are title challengers and want their league trophy back. They should be able to beat Leicester, and they looked fit for their first game back. Sterling is flying, De Bruyne is one of the best in the world, and they should have a class edge. Prediction: 3-0.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Man City- 3/10, Leicester- 10/1, Draw- 11/2
West Ham vs Wolves
West Ham have lost their first two, although they didn’t look too bad against Arsenal, it was a much improved performance. Wolves didn’t play brilliantly against City and West Ham could steal a point here. They need to up their game or it will be a long road ahead. Prediction: 1-1
Betfair Exchange Odds: West Ham- 3/1, Wolves- 11/10, Draw- 5/2
Fulham vs Aston Villa
I have no words to describe Fulham right now! The loss against Leeds flattered them, it was just Leeds taking the foot off the gas. Fulham need to improve a lot, especially at the back where they are leaking goals. I hope they can improve in this game, and I think they might be able to get three points on the board here. Prediction: 1-0.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Fulham- 2/1, Aston Villa- 13/8, Draw- 5/2
Liverpool vs Arsenal
I’m looking forward to this, it should be a great game, and we’ll see what Arsenal have to offer. Liverpool have been impressive, and Thiago coming in is huge for them, he is top class. I will go for Liverpool here, as their front three is just too strong for most teams, and Arsenal still need to improve in defence. Prediction: 3-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Liverpool- 1/2, Arsenal- 6/1, Draw- 4/1
