Manchester City took another significant step towards clinching the Premier League title this week, but rivals Manchester United will hope to at least put an end to their incredible winning run in the derby on Sunday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are struggling for goals at the moment, but they won twice at the Etihad last season and the counter-attacking threat of Marcus Rashford could provide problems for Pep Guardiola’s relentless winning machine.
Elsewhere, Chelsea and Everton clash at Stamford Bridge on Monday in a fixture that will have a big impact in the race for the top four, while Liverpool must surely return to winning way at Anfield against Fulham.
As ever, Betfair Ambassador Dimitar Berbatov previews the action for Metro.co.uk..
Burnley v Arsenal
I saw Burnley’s match against Leicester and let me tell you Schmeichel was the man of the match, he made some unbelievable saves so Burnley are not a team to be underestimated. In this league there are so many surprises and as much I like the way Arteta wants them to play, Arsenal are still a bit shaky in defence, so I’m backing Burnley in this one. Prediction 1-0.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Burnley 5/1, Draw 3/1, Arsenal 4/6
Sheffield United v Southampton
I want to see Southampton sort themselves out, their form is terrible and this is their chance, although Sheffield United look doomed but they have picked up some good results recently. Southampton shouldn’t feel sorry for themselves and should finally pick themselves up and take the win. Prediction 1-2.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Sheff United 14/5, Draw 13/5, Southampton 11/10
Aston Villa v Wolves
Both teams are coming into this one on the back of a bad defeat. Their form has been inconsistent and if they want to climb the table they need to keep pushing. I can see this one being a draw. Prediction 1-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Aston Villa 6/4, Draw 9/4, Wolves 9/4
Brighton v Leicester
Brighton are at risk of going down and it’s going to be interesting to see how things go in the next few weeks, Leicester aren’t producing the best football at the moment and with the pressure on Brighton I think they can get the win in this one. Prediction 2-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Brighton 7/4, Draw 12/5, Leicester 2/1
West Brom v Newcastle
I like Newcastle and they have had some real bad luck this season, they are nine points clear of West Brom, who have started to put up a bit of a fight, but I can see them extending the gap here. Prediction 0-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: West Brom 6/4, Draw 9/4, Newcastle 9/4
Liverpool v Fulham
Fulham are playing good football and they are only three points off the teams above them. I would love for my old team to get the three points in this one, but I think Liverpool, even though they have lost their last five matches at Anfield, will still have a bit too much for them. Prediction 2-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Liverpool 4/11, Draw 9/2, Fulham 9/1
Man City v Man United
I don’t want to see a boring game like the last time these two sides met in the Premier League, I almost fell asleep for that. I want United to put and end to this City winning streak, I think it will be on the minds of the City players and United can take advantage of that, so I am going to go with them. Prediction 2-3.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Man City 8/15, Draw 7/2, Man United 6/1
Spurs v Crystal Palace
Spurs seem to be clicking into form and it’s great to see Gareth Bale play with a smile on his face. They need to continue this, the quality is there on paper and as long as their are focused they should win this one. Prediction 3-0.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Spurs 1/3, Draw 4/1 Crystal Palace 7/1
Chelsea v Everton
I think it’s time for Chelsea to drop some points, Tuchel has come in and he has made them very hard to beat. I can’t see Everton taking all three points but if they want to still be in the race for the top four then they have to get something from this match. Prediction 1-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: Chelsea 5/8, Draw 100/30, Everton 11/2
West Ham v Leeds
West Ham are the surprise of the season for me and not many people expected them to be in the top four now, including me. I would like to see them continue their good form. Leeds, like I’ve said before, don’t care who they are playing they will explore the space on the pitch and also leave spaces, which is their weakness at times. West Ham can get a good win in this one. Prediction 4-1.
Betfair Exchange Odds: West Ham 11/10, Draw 11/4, Leeds 13/5
