The Dutchman joined the club in a £34million deal from Ajax in 2020 but he managed just four Premier League starts last term, in a disappointing debut campaign at Old Trafford.
Real Madrid are interested in signing the midfielder and the La Liga giants have reportedly submitted a season-long loan proposal which would include a obligation to buy the Dutchman in 2022.
However, the Manchester Evening News claim that Van de Beek wants to stay at Old Trafford and he’s not ready to give up on his career at the club.

Van de Beek signed a five-year deal last summer and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has long stressed that the midfielder would need at least a year to settle into life in the Premier League, given its physicality.
Solskjaer reportedly wants to drop the ‘McFred’ midfield partnership between Scott McTominay and Fred next season, as he wants to play two attack-minded midfielders ahead of a defensive midfielder.
That would surely give more opportunities to Van de Beek, who was primarily used in a no.10 role when he did play for United last term.
Van de Beek may also have one eye on the future of Paul Pogba, with the Frenchman entering the final year of his deal at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman was partly signed by United as the club felt Pogba would angle to leave last summer but the Frenchman ended up staying at Old Trafford and enjoyed one of his best campaigns at the club.
However, Paris Saint-Germain are keen to sign Pogba – either this summer at a cut price or in 2022 on a free transfer.
