Granada CF Femenino faced a challenging encounter against Real Madrid Femenino, succumbing to a 3-1 loss in their Liga F match.

Despite the defeat, Nigerian forward, Edna Imade continued her impressive goal-scoring form, netting Granada’s sole goal and further solidifying her status as one of the league’s top scorers.

Imade’s equalizer came in the 28th minute, showcasing her clinical finishing ability. This goal marked her 10th league goal of the season, placing her second in the Liga F scoring charts, trailing only FC Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor, who has 14 goals.

The 24-year-old forward has been in remarkable form, scoring in her last five consecutive matches against Badalona, Levante, Deportivo La Coruña, Madrid CFF, and now Real Madrid. Including the Copa de la Reina, her tally stands at 11 goals in 15 matches.

Imade’s performances have been instrumental in Granada’s campaign this season. Her consistent goal-scoring has not only highlighted her individual talent but also underscored her importance to the team’s offensive play. Her recent accolades include being named Liga F Player of the Month for December 2024, reflecting her significant contributions on the field.

Born to Nigerian parents in Morocco and raised in Seville, Spain, Imade is eligible to represent Nigeria, Morocco, or Spain at the international level. She has expressed her willingness to play for the Super Falcons, Nigeria’s national team, and her current form could make her a valuable addition to the squad.
