Footballers are used to being mobbed by fans for pictures, but not every day do they find themselves on the other side of the camera.
This was the case for Nigerian international Ademola Lookman, who had a hilarious encounter at Kigali International Airport when a fan unknowingly handed him a phone to take a picture of his teammates.
The Atalanta forward was with fellow Super Eagles stars Alex Iwobi and Ola Aina on their way to Rwanda for international duty when a fan approached, excited to take a photo with the two players.
However, in a comical twist, the fan completely overlooked Lookman, not realizing he was also a professional footballer. Rather than correcting the mix-up, Lookman played along, taking on the role of the cameraman and snapping the picture with a smile.
The moment was caught on video and has since gone viral on social media, with fans reacting to Lookman’s humility and sense of humor. The footage was shared by football platforms, sparking laughter among fans who joked about the forward being “too underrated.”
The current African Player of the Year touched down in Kigali today in company of fellow Super Eagles, including William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Joe Aribo, Calvin Bassey and Wilfred Ndidi.
