Fikayo Tomori says new Chelsea signing Thiago Silva is already displaying his strong leadership skills at Stamford Bridge, despite not yet speaking fluent English.
The 36-year-old joined the Blues in the summer window on a free transfer after his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expired.
Silva has plenty of experience, having won seven Ligue 1 titles and earning 91 caps for Brazil.
The veteran defender has made three appearances so far for Frank Lampard’s side, but was rested for the 3-3 draw with Southampton on Saturday.
22-year-old Blues centre-back Tomori admits he can learn a lot from the Brazilian, who is already making his presence felt at the club.
‘You can see why he’s featured at the levels he has.
‘What he done in the past will transfer to what he does here, and it will help all of us.’
