The Blues arrived in Manchester on Friday afternoon ahead of their massive clash against the Red Devils, checking in at the Hilton Garden Inn at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground.
Lampard had explained at his pre-match press conference that Kepa Arrizabalaga and Billy Gilmour would not be available, while there were three more absentees.
Callum Hudson-Odoi, Marcos Alonso and Andreas Christensen were not spotted with the rest of the squad, but apart from that quintet the rest of Chelsea’s first-team squad all travelled.
Several players – notably Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech – have been working their way back to fill fitness and would have been doubts after their midweek involvement in the Champions League against Sevilla.
But that pair were both spotted in Manchester, along with new signings Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell, Edouard Mendy and Thiago Silva.
Full squad spotted in Manchester: Werner, Giroud, Kante, Abraham, James, Ziyech, Mount, Mendy, Chilwell, Zouma, Havertz, Emerson, Thiago Silva, Rudiger, Pulisic, Kovacic, Caballero, Azpilicueta, Jorginho.
Mendy is likely to continue in goal with Silva and Kurt Zouma at centre-back, while Lampard will have to make a decision over who plays at right-back – Reece James or Cesar Azpilicueta – and in midfield.
On the fitness of his squad, Lampard said: ‘Thiago Silva and Pulisic are both fine, we have a pretty clean bill of health other than Kepa who has a shoulder issue and won’t travel to Manchester.
‘The only other player out is Billy Gilmour. Cech is not coming [as a player], no.’
