Arsenal legend Ian Wright says he ‘loves’ Joshua Kimmich and wants to see Bayern Munich’s versatile midfielder in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old has been one of the Bundesliga club’s most consistent performers over the past few seasons.
Kimmich once again proved his worth with a stunning winner in Hansi Flick’s side’s 2-1 victory against Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Similarly to Bayern legend Phillipp Lahm, Kimmich can operate in multiple positions including full-back, wing-back and defensive midfield.
Arsenal’s prolific former striker Wright admitted the Germany international is his ‘favourite’ player at the moment and would welcome him moving to England’s top flight.
‘I was speaking to somebody other day about what positions you’d come back as,’ Wright said on his podcast Wrighty’s House.
‘I thought maybe I’d like to be a right wing-back because whatever position I’m playing I want to be able to get forward and score and I want to be expressive in what I’m doing.
‘I don’t want to destroy and then give it to Kevin de Bruyne, I need more than that.
‘There’s a vibe about Kimmich and I just love it, he’s my favourite at the minute.’
