The Italy international is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2023 and appears settled in west London now he’s holding down a regular spot in the starting XI.
But his agent has suggested that a return to Napoli would appeal to the 29-year-old.
Current Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso is expected to leave the club at the end of the season and reports in Italy claim that club president Aurelio De Laurentiis is considering re-hiring Sarri.
While their relationship didn’t end on good terms when the Italian manager left the club, they have supposedly cleared the air which could pave the way for Sarri to return to top-flight management.
Sarri has been out of work since being sacked by Juventus last summer after a Champions League defeat to Lyon but his replacement Andrea Pirlo is struggling to guide them to a 10th successive Serie A title.
And if Sarri does return to Napoli next season, Jorginho may well be open to linking up with his compatriot again.
‘Sarri at Napoli with Jorginho is a wonderful idea,’ his agent Joao Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss (via Football Italia).
‘The player has two-and-a-half years left on his contract with Chelsea and an important salary.
‘Naples is a city that Jorginho loves very much, which marked an important part of his career.
‘Sarri is also an important coach for him, at which he expressed himself at the highest level.’
