Two-time heavyweight world champion, Anthony Joshua knocked out social media celebrity Jake Paul in a devastating fashion in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Many had predicted that Joshua would make make Jake Paul kiss the canvas within two or three round but it wasn’t the case.
Anthony Joshua delivered a knockout blow to Jake Paul in the sixth round with a powerful right hand during their heavyweight bout on Friday night at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
The six-round fight, streamed on Netflix, was anticipated to end quickly, but Paul frustrated Joshua by using lateral movement to avoid direct engagements.

Early on, Paul showcased his jab and made Joshua miss several right hands, demonstrating unexpected defensive prowess against the more experienced fighter. As the match progressed, Paul’s smothering tactics led to him frequently falling to the canvas under Joshua’s weight, prompting warnings from the referee in Round 4.
This came shortly after Joshua landed a troubling right uppercut on the inside, highlighting the scrappy and physical nature of the contest. Despite the chaos, both fighters exchanged meaningful shots, with Joshua gradually asserting his size advantage.
In Round 5, Joshua opened with another uppercut, causing Paul to hold on before dropping to the floor for respite. Paul responded with his strongest moment of the fight, catching Joshua with an overhand right as he advanced.
However, late in the round, an accumulation of punches forced Paul to take a knee for the first knockdown, and the referee seemed unwilling to allow further delays. Paul was floored again around the two-minute mark of Round 5 after absorbing another right hand from Joshua, though he survived the round despite being wobbled by a final combination.
Entering Round 6 tired, Paul struggled as Joshua pressed the attack, landing a right hand to left hook early on. Joshua then dropped Paul with a right to the top of the head, pushing him to the ropes.
In the decisive moments of Round 6, Joshua unloaded a barrage that cornered Paul, culminating in a brutal right hand to the chin that sent him down.
Paul failed to beat the count, sealing Joshua’s victory in a fight that blended Paul’s resilience with Joshua’s overwhelming power and experience.
While reacting to the fight, Jake Paul says he loves the sport and had fun on the night even though he was beaten hands down.
He also hailed Anthony Joshua as a great fighter and promised to be back after the loss to the seasoned boxer.
I’m feeling good. That was fun – I love this sport. It’s f**king crazy. I had a blast.
“Anthony’s a great fighter. I got my ass beat, but that’s what this sport’s about. I’ll come back and keep winning.”
