Kayode Bankole is one the fastest-rising goalkeepers in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper plays for current league leaders Remo Stars and has been quite impressive for the side as they are on course to win the league.
Bankole was part of the CHAN team that secured qualification for Nigeria over Ghana to the African Nations Championship in December 2024.
Bankole will gain valuable experience alongside former Bendel Insurance goalkeeper Amas Obasogie and Super Eagles first-choice Stanley Nwabali when camp resumes on March 21.
1. National team experience
Kayode Bankole is no stranger to the national team, even though this is their first time with the Super Eagles. The 22-year-old captained the Super Eagles B team to an international friendly in 2022. He was also part of the CHAN Eagles team that qualified the team for the Championship of African Nations.
2. Aerial Command/Presence
Kayode Bankole has a decent height. He is 6 ft and 1 inches tall. The Remo Stars goalkeeper commands his box well and thwarts aerial threats easily given his height. The goalkeeper also ticks the box as a modern-day goalkeeper with his ball distribution skill.

Kayode Bankole hails from Ipokia, a town in Ogun State, Nigeria. He started his career with Shooting Stars before joining Remo Stars in 2021.
