Lazio have confirmed they will secure the signing of Manchester United outcast Andreas Pereira in the ‘next two to three days’.
Pereira will spend the 2020-21 season on loan with the Serie A outfit, who have an option to buy at the end of his deal.
Should they trigger that option, they will pay £24.5million to bring him to the Stadio Olimpico on a permanent basis next summer.
Lazio will pay more than half of Pereira’s salary during his loan and the 24-year-old Brazilian will be moving to Italy in the coming days.
‘Pereira will arrive over the next two to three days, Lazio director of sport Igli Tare told TMW.
Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi added: ‘I know him, he is a quality player who can give us a big helping hand.
‘I don’t want to talk too much about players who haven’t signed yet, we are fortunate enough to have Tare who knows what to do. We’ll see if he arrives or not.’
Pereira has yet to be involved for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this season and is one of several players the club is looking to ship out.
Alex Telles and Jadon Sancho remain targets for Solskjaer’s men.
