Manchester United have reportedly decided against making a move for Watford winger Ismaila Sarr as they are not expecting any more ingoings or outgoings, despite the domestic window still being open until next week.
United were previously in talks with Championship side Watford over a loan move for Sarr, but according to Goal, the Red Devils are not looking at making any further changes to their squad.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made strengthening the right-wing position a priority in the summer transfer window, with Jadon Sancho the No.1 choice.
Borussia Dortmund maintained the England international was only available for £108 million and set a deadline of August 10 for a deal to be done.
United didn’t meet the Bundesliga side’s deadline and instead looked to cheaper alternatives.
Sarr was one of the names on the list, and despite holding talks with Watford, no deal materialised.
The Red Devils wanted the 22-year-old on loan, while the Championship outfit were only interested in a permanent deal.
Despite not landing top target Sancho, the report states that Solskjaer is happy with his forward options.
One of the main reasons they aren’t looking at making any more signings is due to the fact that the deadline to register their Champions League squad is on Tuesday, which would make any new incomings after that date ineligible to play in European competition.
