Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is on the verge of joining Lazio on loan, according to reports in Brazil.
Pereira is yet to make an appearance this term and has not even made the bench for any of United’s three matches so far.
According to Esporte Interativo, Pereira is now finalising his loan move to Lazio after weeks of negotiations between the Serie A club and United.
The midfielder will join Lazio on loan for the remainder of the season, while the Italian side will have the option to buy for €27 million (£24.6m).
United would also receive 10 percent of any sell-on fee Lazio receive if Pereira is offloaded.
Pereira, who has previously spent time on loan at Granada and Valencia, made 40 appearances last season, scoring two goals and registering four assists.
When asked about Pereira and other United players who have found themselves on the fringes of the team this season, Solskjaer said: ‘You know, players are happy when they win well and win games, I am too, it’s not my job to keep them happy.
Pereira signed a new contract with United 14 months ago and still has three years remaining on his current deal.
