There has long been discussion about the Frenchman’s Old Trafford future and Raiola has stoked the fires of speculation recently by stating that Pogba is unhappy in Manchester,
The World Cup winner has insisted that he is committed to the Red Devils cause but Raiola has spoken out again about his client’s future.
The agent suggests that he would look to move Pogba on in January if he could, but with big moves difficult to do in the winter transfer window, he will wait until the summer of 2021.
‘Pogba will have a great future,’ Raiola said on Monday. ‘In England, they’re very sensitive when you talk about Pogba.
‘I’ve just expressed my thoughts. I’ve said that Paul can leave in the summer, it’s hard to do top deals in January.’
Pogba’s contract expires in 2022 and with the continued problems surrounding the midfielder, it seems very likely that the club will look to cash in next summer while they still can.
‘I’ve always fought and will always fight for Manchester United, my team-mates and the fans,’ Pogba said. ‘Bla bla is not important. The future is far, today is what matters and I am 1000% involved!
‘Always strong together… all has been clear between the club and myself and that will never change. When you don’t know what’s going on inside, don’t talk £SpeakTheTruthOrRemainSilent £United £talktothehand.’
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also backed Pogba and his commitment to the team, saying: ‘I think I said during the week that this is a team game and Paul is part of this team. He’s very focused on contributing when he’s here.
‘He’s got the hunger and appetite to play and wants to play. He wants to train and he trains. There have been other players refusing to train and refusing to play – they’re not here anymore of course – but Paul’s not once done that.’
