The winner of the upcoming Club World Cup will be rewarded with a mouthwatering amount of money according to FIFA.
FIFA has revealed the details of the $1 billion (£774.6 million) prize money for the upcoming Club World Cup in the United States. This summer’s tournament will feature 32 teams, including Chelsea and Manchester City, who qualified as Champions League winners in 2021 and 2023, respectively.
The winners will take home a staggering £96.8 million if they win all their games. The 32 competing clubs will share £406.7 million in participation fees, which will be split based on “sporting and commercial criteria.”
The 12 European clubs, including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain, will receive fees ranging from £9.9 million to £29.6 million.
The tournament will run from June 14 to July 13, with teams playing a maximum of seven matches. Inter Miami, featuring Lionel Messi, will also be competing, along with clubs from all six continental confederations.
