Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar has confirmed he will be staying at the club for at least another season.

The 28-year-old forward won four pieces of silverware with PSG across the 2019/20 campaign but was denied the trophy he craved the most as Thomas Tuchel’s men were beaten by Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.

A distraught Neymar failed to hold back the tears in the aftermath of his side’s crushing 1-0 defeat and the Brazilian’s reaction raised questions about his future in the French capital.

But Neymar wants to go one step further with PSG in Europe next term and has no plans to move on from the club anytime soon.

‘I am staying at PSG next season!’ he told PSG’s official website.

‘And with the ambition to return to the Champions’ League final, this time to win it.

‘I like this idea of doing everything to leave my name in the history books of my club.

‘If people were doubting the presence of PSG as a great European club, those doubts died in Lisbon.

‘We left this city with the feeling of being renewed and confidence in our capacity to win it one day to write an even greater history.’

The Brazil international insists PSG’s loss to Bayern only strengthened the sense of togetherness inside the squad.

‘By returning from Lisbon, in the plane on the way back, we were already excited to see each other again in Paris!’ he added.

‘I will never forget what we shared with this squad.

‘It has formed a family and I am proud.’
