Abraham spearheaded Chelsea’s attack for their trip to Newcastle United on Saturday and completed his side’s 2-0 win with a goal in the second half at St James’ Park.
The England international, who now has three Premier League goals this season, is competing for a place as Chelsea’s central striker alongside Timo Werner and Olivier Giroud.
And Hargreaves believes Abraham will be the one who makes way once Pulisic returns from his hamstring injury.
The former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder has predicted that Werner will be played through the middle, with Lampard opting for Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech as his preferred options to complement the German forward.
‘Undroppable? Timo Werner is undroppable. But I think he’s making himself a really good squad player,’ Hargreaves told Premier League Productions after Chelsea’s win over Newcastle United.
‘I think he got 15 [goals] last season. I don’t think he gets enough credit for his overall game.
‘I love the fact of his size, technically I think he’s better than people give him credit for.
‘He is getting goals but I think when Frank gets his best team nailed down it’ll be Ziyech on one side, Pulisic on the other, and then Werner through the middle [with] Havertz and Mount [behind].
‘I think that’s going to be his best team. But Tammy is going to be really important as a squad player.’
‘I think when you’re a young player coming into any team, particularly a big club, you want to make sure you’re part of the team, you perform your role and duty for the team.
‘Now, as a striker, there’s a time you cross over into [saying], ‘I need goals, unless I score goals I can’t worry about the boys at the back and everything else for the team, I’ve got to make sure I produce’.
‘And I think he now realises that to stay at the focal point of Chelsea’s attack he’s got to get his numbers and he’s doing it very well at the moment.’
