Pogba, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford all got on the scoresheet as the Red Devils came back from a goal down to beat West Ham 3-1 on Saturday.
United looked out of sorts in the first half and went behind after Tomas Soucek tapped in Declan Rice’s flick-on from a corner.
The duo had an immediate impact, with Fernandes setting up Pogba’s wonderful curling strike into the corner before goals from Greenwood and Rashford sealed the comeback and all three points for United.
Van de Beek was making just his second start in the Premier League following his £40million move from Ajax back in the summer with the 23-year-old struggling to cement a regular starting berth in Solskjaer’s side.
And when reacting to Pogba’s goal against the Hammers on Sky Sports, Evra laughed off comparisons between the French World Cup winner and Van de Beek.
The former United left-back said: ‘What a great goal from Paul. When people compare him to Van de Beek, it just makes me laugh. Look at that goal.’
‘We should give credit to Ole,’ Evra added. ‘When we lose, people attack Ole. But what a great change.
‘Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford running behind the defence, they make the difference, also Mata and Paul came alive.
‘Cavani wasn’t having a good game. Van de Beek wasn’t having a good game, he made quick changes and we won.’
‘I don’t want this team to react, I want them to act. But after that awful first half, [getting] four consecutive wins it’s all positive for United
‘But when you always have to come back you know something is wrong.’
