The Professional Footballers’ Association in England have presented special recognition awards to Chelsea’s duo of Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella.
The awards is in recognition of their respective contributions to their national team’s triumph during the summer.
Enzo Fernandez played five times for Argentina as the current World Cup champions beat Colombia 1-0 in the final to lift their record sixteenth title.
Marc Cucurella was also pivotal for Spain en route to their Euro 2024 success. Spain defeated England 2-1 in the final at Berlin.
Cucurella provided Mikel Oyarzabal with the assist for the winning goal on the 86th minute.
The 26 years old played 6 of 7 matches as Spain went on to lift their fourth European title – the only team to have four titles.
Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella were presented with the awards today at Chelsea training center in Cobham.
