The Gunners are looking to get back to winning ways after Premier League defeat to Manchester City at the weekend in their Europa League group which also includes Irish side Dundalk and Norwegian outfit Molde.
‘We are very excited to be playing back in Europe again after a difficult season where we had to earn our right to play here through winning the FA Cup,’ Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said.
‘It’s a big bonus for us. We want to make the best out of it and every competition that we are involved in. Our aim is to try to win it.’
Rapid Vienna manager Didi Kuhbauer is looking forward to the contest, saying: ‘This is a highlight. With good performances, we made it into the Europa League.
‘If a coach still has to motivate, something doesn’t work for the player. Everyone wants to compete with good teams, now is the chance.’
