Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace in Al Nassr’s 3-1 win against Al Gharafa in the AFC Champions League on Monday evening.
The Portuguese was kept quiet in the first half as he missed a couple of opportunities. Fortunes changed, however, in the secknd half as he opened the scoring early in the second half by a close range header.
Al Nassr increased the lead after Angelo Gabriel scored in the 58th minute before he teed up Ronaldo to score his second of the night. Al Gharafa got a consolation goal through ex-Real Madrid man, Joselu.
The win ensures Al Nassr remain unbeaten through five matches in the Western side of the draw, and move second in the 12-team table. They will need just three points from their next three games to move to the quarterfinals.
