The 40-year-old Portuguese icon netted twice in quick succession, overturning a first-half deficit and securing three crucial points for his team.
Al Riyadh initially took the lead just before halftime, with Faiz Selemani capitalizing on a defensive lapse to put the visitors ahead. Al Nassr’s defense was caught off-guard, allowing Selemani to slot home the opener, leaving Ronaldo visibly frustrated with his team’s performance.
However, Ronaldo responded emphatically in the second half. In the 56th minute, he equalized by tapping in a low cross from Sadio Mané, demonstrating his poacher’s instinct.
Just eight minutes later, Ronaldo delivered a moment of magic: a thunderous volley from the edge of the penalty area that clipped the crossbar before nestling into the net.
The match concluded with Al Nassr maintaining their advantage, despite Al Riyadh being reduced to ten men following Ahmad Asiri’s red card.
Ronaldo’s brace elevated his season tally to 38 goals and marked the 933rd goal of his illustrious career.
With this victory, Al Nassr solidifies their position in the league standings, now just one point behind second-place Al Hilal and eight points adrift of leaders Al Ittihad.
