Nigerian footballer, Saviour Godwin has revealed that he received substantial monetary offers ranging from $20,000 to $50,000 for the jersey he exchanged with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite the attractive prices, Godwin has decided to keep the shirt because of its sentimental importance. The jersey switch took place during a Saudi Professional League match between Godwin’s team, Al Akhdoud, and Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.
Following the game, Ronaldo not only exchanged jerseys with Godwin, but also signed both his own and Godwin’s jerseys, resulting in treasured memories for the Nigerian forward.
Following the exchange, Godwin was approached by a number of people, but he declined all offers, explaining that he planned to keep one jersey as a personal souvenir and may be donate the other to charity.
