Super Eagles striker, Akor Adam’s has been granted permission to leave camp following the win over Mozambique in the Round of 16 on Monday night.
The Sevilla striker scored a goal and provided two assists in the 4-0 win over the Mambas as Nigeria qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition.
Following the win, Akor Adams was excused from camp briefly to visit his ailing mother and father who are in Fes. The striker confirmed that his mother was rushed to the hospital on Monday morning in a post-match interview.
Adams dedicated his first goal of the competition to his mum after featuring in three matches so far in the competition.
Akor Adams has been integral to Eric Chelle’s 4-3-1-2 set up which has seen the team flourish in transition since the group match against Tunisia.
