Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has revealed that his dream move is to join South African giants, the Kaizer Chiefs.
The Chippa United shot-topper raised his stock with stellar performances for the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire and became a hot topic in the transfer market.
After the tournament, Nwabali was the subject of heavy transfer speculation, even within South Africa as Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates showed strong interest.
Still, the 27-year-old only wants to play for one club.
“To be honest, Kaizer Chiefs is one of the clubs I really want to play for,” he confessed.
Nwabali’s admiration for the club goes beyond mere interest.
“This is the club I want to play for in South Africa, with all my heart,” he emphasized.
“I won’t say I have been supporting them, but this is the club I felt I want to play for.”
Nwabali’s desire to join Kaizer Chiefs is driven by the club’s rich history and success in South African football.
A move to the Amakhosi would be a significant step forward in his career, and fans will be watching closely to see if his dream becomes a reality.
