Super Eagles of Nigeria star Victor Osimhen marked his comeback with a goal as Galatasaray beat Antalyaspor 3-0 in their Turkish Super Lig encounter.
Argentine striker Mauro Icardi scored two goals to give Galatasaray a comfortable lead.
With Twelve minutes to go, the Nigerian international came off the bench to take Icardi’s place.
Galatasaray’s third goal of the game was scored by Osimhen who connected a free kick with a stunning bicycle kick.
In just four league appearances for the Yellow and Reds, the 25-year-old Osimhen has already netted three goals.
Osimhen returns to action when Galatasaray takes on Elfsborg in the Europa League midweek before they play Besiktas in a massive league clash.
Samuel Chukwueze scores for AC Milan, wins MOTM
At Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Samuel Chukwueze scored his first goal of the 2024–2025 season as AC Milan defeated Maduka Okoye’s Udinese 1-0 in a Serie A match.
During the international break, Chukwueze came in for Frank Onyeka in the Super Eagles’ Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Libya on at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
After being set up by Christian Pulisic, Chukwueze scored what was the only goal of the game in the 13th minute with a masterful low curling strike into the far corner.
In the 88th minute, Chukwueze was replaced by the Nigerian-born defender Fikayo Tomori in an attempt to preserve the lead for AC Milan.
After the game, Chukwueze was rewarded for his performance with the Man of the Match award.
