Nine-time African champions Super Falcons are scheduled to play the Senior Women National Team of France, Les Bleues, in a high-profile friendly in France on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
The match-up against France comes after a two-match friendly encounter against the Green Ladies of Algeria in Nigeria during the last international break.
In games played in Ikenne-Remo and Lagos, the Super Falcons thrashed the Green Ladies 2-0 and 4-1.
The team, led by Justine Madugu, had some homegrown players who showed great promise.
Kickoff for this month’s matchup with the Les Bleues is scheduled for 9.30 p.m at the Stade Raymond Kopa in Angers.
The Falcons will welcome the game as a test before the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next summer.
However, France will use it as part of their preparations for the League of Nations in the spring and the 2025 UEFA Euro Women Championship in Switzerland in the summer.
The Super Falcons taking on Les Bleues is evidence of an important friendly set up by the Nigeria Football Federation to test the team against high-level competition.
