Galatasaray Petrol Ofisi of Turkey has announced the signing of Super Falcons of Nigeria defender Oluwatosin Blessing Demehin.
Demehin’s one-year contract with Galatasaray is set to keep her with the team through the 2024–2025 football season.
After the transfer process was finished, she signed her contract and was posted with a Galatasaray jersey.
Demehin began her playing career with Sunshine Stars and later Rivers Angels FC in the Nigerian Women’s Football League (NWFL).
At the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, she took to the spotlight for the Nigerian Falconets.
She then had an incredible move to the French League with Reims to further her career.
She participated in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup as a member of the Nigerian national team, and at the 2024 Olympic Games.
While Demehin plays for the women’s squad at Galatasaray, her countryman Victor Osimhen will play for the men’s team following his loan move from Napoli.
Gift Monday extends with Tenerife
Gift Monday, a striker for the Super Falcons of Nigeria, and Costa Adeje Tenerife Egatesa have extended their contract for three seasons.
The club officially signed a new deal with the player as Sergio Batista, the president of UD Tenerife, ensured that she would be a part of the squad until 2027.
Gift Monday expressed her appreciation for the contract renewal and her desire to contribute to the group’s accomplishments.
Monday has scored 11 goals in 49 Liga F games for Costa Adeje Tenerife Egatesa and is in her third season with the team.
