‘This chapter is over’ – Ronaldo post cryptic message amid reports of Al Nassr exit

Cristiano Ronaldo has signaled the likely end of his stint with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, although he has made it clear that he has no intention of retiring just yet.

The 40-year-old forward, who joined Al-Nassr in 2023 after a turbulent second spell at Manchester United, hinted at his departure in a social media post where he said, “this chapter is over.” His contract with the Saudi side is set to expire in July.

Despite his individual brilliance, he topped the scoring charts in Saudi Arabia for two consecutive seasons, netting 24 goals this campaign, Ronaldo’s time at Al-Nassr was not marked by team success.

The club finished 13 points behind champions Al-Ittihad this season and failed to win any trophies during his tenure.

Ronaldo recently reached the milestone of 800 career club goals with a strike in a 3-2 loss to Al Fateh, reaffirming his desire to keep playing.
