Kurt Zouma, Marcos Alonso, Mateo Kovacic, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Kai Havertz are all return to Tuchel’s starting XI at Stamford Bridge, while Antonio Rudiger, Ben Chilwell, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount and Hakim Ziyech miss out.
The German remains unbeaten since taking over the reins from Frank Lampard at the end of January and will be determined to secure his sixth win in the Premier League.
Victory would move Chelsea to within three points of Leicester City and also send them four points clear of the Toffees, who sit one place below them in fifth.
Thiago Silva, who has been out for a month due to injury, returns on the bench, while there is no place for either Tammy Abraham or Billy Gilmour in the Blues’ 20-man squad.
‘Thiago is back on the bench and that is very good,’ Tuchel told Chelsea’s official website.
‘We’ve made some changes to have some fresh legs in the team.
‘It also shows all the guys that we have total trust in the whole squad.’
The former Borussia Dortmund and PSG boss added: ‘The recent games against Manchester United and Liverpool were both very intense, both physically and mentally, so it’s important to make changes where we can,’ he added.
‘We want to play with that freshness, play on the front foot and play creative.
‘So that is a reason behind some of the changes, and also it’s a chance for the guys that haven’t played as much to get the chance that they deserve because they train very hard.
‘Having fresh legs is good and we hope it increases the chance to win against another strong opponent.’
